Milestones, momentum and meaningful work - Codemate in 2025

2025 marked a special anniversary for Codemate. In May, we celebrated our 18th birthday with the whole company in Bratislava – we have reached adulthood as a company, and we have much to reflect on. Now is a good moment to look back at everything the year brought with it!

In a challenging market, we continued steady growth in both revenue and headcount. A significant portion of our revenue comes from service exports to international markets. While deepening partnerships, we also succeeded in acquiring new clients throughout the year — all while developing our capabilities in every area. Below is a look at the year’s highlights!

And experienced team and strategic partnerships

Eighteen years in business shows in everything we do. We have an exceptionally experienced and committed team: eight codemates have been with us over 15 years, and many others for several. That says a lot about what kind of place Codemate is to grow and work in.

Long‑term client relationships are the backbone of our business. This year too, we’ve acted even more strongly as strategic advisors in our clients’ product development — a role where expertise, trust, and continuity stand out. Our partnerships with Google, Netflix, Schaeffler, Moi, Restel, and many others have deepened, and we’ve been able to build entirely new solutions tailored to their needs. We’ve also formed new partnerships, and we are LG’s lead partner in the development of the webOS Flutter SDK Beta.

During 2025, Codemate also joined the Patria eAlliance initiative, which builds unique collaboration between civil and defense technology companies to create the safest societies. Moves like this bring us closer to the partners and networks with whom we can build impactful future solutions.

We also deepened our long‑standing collaboration with digital marketing and communications agency Don & Branco. This collaboration brings additional WordPress expertise to those client projects where e‑commerce implementation adds particular value — especially when agile WordPress development or brand‑based communication and visual design are needed.

In 2024, we announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Upsert. The integration between the companies has progressed successfully, and collaboration with our new colleagues has been very smooth. Based on feedback from our employee survey, satisfaction with the integration is high.

AI has become part of everyday work

We’ve been building AI solutions for years – making everyday work more efficient. AI is now a natural part of how we work, and early in the year Ville Lindfors started as our AI, Data & Cloud Director, leading both internal development and client solutions into a new phase.

A year full of events

We took part in several events throughout the year, both in Finland and internationally, including Google I/O, BLOOM, Nordic Business Forum, Fluttercon USA and Europe and Mobile World Conference. For us, events are more than just visibility opportunities – they spark real conversations, new ideas and valuable connections.

We also hosted our own events and welcomed guests to our offices. One of the most popular was the Flutter meetup in June, which brought together Flutter devs from the Helsinki region to connect, learn and share.

New year, new energy

2025 was anything but ordinary. It was a year of celebration, shared success, trying new things and everyday joy. It included birthday fun in Bratislava, buzzing events, AI prototyping – all with our signature hands-on, positive energy.

For 2026, we are looking forward to more of the same: meaningful encounters, successful partnerships and exciting new challenges.
